December Indie Cover Art Poll- Vote and W * I * N 16 E-Books

Vote for your favourite from the fabulous list below and be put in a draw where you can win 16 e-books! One book from each of the authors who participate and one from me, the host of the poll. From me you can choose either Sundered or my new release, Dark Waters (Neither of which are a part of the actual voting).

You can only choose 1 cover as your favourite and you can only get a single entry, no matter how many times you comment.

The winner will be announced on January 5th and entries will be taken until midnight December 31st.

The winning cover art will then be displayed on all the other author’s blogs who have participated this month for a minimum of 1 blog post.

If you’d like to have your cover art involved in the January Indie Cover Art Poll, send the cover, a short blurb and one link to motionsrider@yahoo.ca

Don't forget to leave your email address when you vote. Now, let the voting begin!

**If you are going to leave an Anonymous comment you MUST put in your email for the vote to count**

I didn't like many of these. In the end, it was between 5, 6, 9. I really hate choosing between them. The only way I could pick between then (and I admit this isn't fair) is by going by the one that is not only a nice design, but looks like something I would enjoy reading. So for that, I pick number 6. (Though the font was better handled in 5, and in 7 I think it had an overall very strong layout). Anyway, between those 3 professional-looking covers, I guess my final vote is 6, but only marginally so.

VOTE: 6

Becca said...

I'd also like to say that, judging by the way many of these votes came in in batches, it appears most of the voting has been by proxy of the authors asking friends to vote for their covers. (or, dare I say it, voting for themselves, though I hope that's not the case).

Anonymous said...

I vote for No. 9 Off The Grid. Not sure what the soccer ball is for, but its a cool cover. edmarks@hotmail.com

Shannon said...

I don't often get into this on my blog, but Becca, if you can't say something nice when these authors have put their work up, please don't say anything.

This is a FREE offer to authors to help them get exposure at NO cost to them. So what if they ask their friends and readers to vote for them? Those readers will see the other books too, which is the WHOLE point of this. Exposure to new readers.

I suppose I should say thank you for voting, but if felt like a backhanded complement at best, and a slap to the authors at worst.

Please, to the rest of the people who vote, keep in mind that you need only put who you would like to vote for, you don't need to say anything about the other authors.

I vote for #9 Off the Grid by Dan Kolbet -- email: krasselt_nicholas@hotmail.com

Since my cover is in the contest, my vote doesn't count, but I would pick Dirty Little Secrets if I had my choice. For some reason it keeps catching my eye. The lips in the background are pretty cool.

Thanks to everyone who voted - even if it wasn't for me! Be sure to check out all these books. Several of my friends have already downloaded a few copies of the books above, which is really the whole point. This exposure works and I'm glad I participated, even if I get blown away by Telesa!

Ms Shannon
You are obviously a woman of class as evidenced by your previous rebuttal. If it weren't for this contest (yes, i was encouraged to vote for my favorite author) I wouldn't have come upon these wonderful books and very talented authors such as yourself. I have already purchased 2 of the books featured here. When I get home I plan to order more of these books. Thank you and a safe & prosperous new year to you.

Dear Anon,

Thank you for your support of me and the other authors. :-) We all have our favorite authors but you're right, this is a chance to meet some new and fabulous authors you might not have otherwise known about.

Happy New Year to you and Happy reading!
